About Restoration
Outdoors Ministries
Restoration Outdoors Ministries (Restoration Outdoors) is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to trauma healing through outdoor experiences, recreational therapy, and evidence-based programs. We create opportunities for hope, healing, connection, and restoration, recognizing that the effects of trauma can touch every community and every walk of life.
Rooted in God’s grace and love, we are committed to serving others with compassion, purpose, and humility. Our programs serve a broad community—including veterans and first responders, pastors and ministry leaders, families, and youth—because trauma is not limited to any one group of people. We believe healing can begin when people are given the space, support, and relationships necessary to be seen, heard, and restored.
Founding board member Jake Collier recognized from an early age that meaningful connection often happens in safe, open spaces—places where curiosity can flourish, distractions can fade, and honesty can rise to the surface. The outdoors provides a unique setting for that kind of connection. Guided by experienced outdoor leaders who prioritize safety, integrity, and Christ-centered living, participants are invited into environments where they can step away from everyday noise and create space for reflection, relationship, and renewal.
At Restoration Outdoors, we believe our work is about more than programs and retreats. We are building a global community of outdoor enthusiasts who love Jesus and are passionate about sharing His love with those who are seeking healing and hope.
We enter the wilderness intentionally—not to escape the world, but to create space to encounter God, build authentic relationships, and walk alongside others on their journey toward restoration. Through every trail, campfire, adventure, and conversation, our mission remains the same: to create opportunities for people to experience hope, healing, and the restorative love of Christ.
